AERO Vodochody is new general partner of the event
The biggest Czech aerospace manufacturer, AERO Vodochody AEROSPACE Company, became the new general partner of the NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days for the next three years.
“We are very pleased that it is AERO Vodochody AEROSPACE who is new general partner of the NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days for the editions 2017 – 2019. We believe that connection of the most important security event and the biggest Czech arms manufacturer makes sense,” says Zbyněk Pavlačík, Chairman of Jagello 2000, which is main organizer of the September’s show and co-organizer of the May’s Day of Open Doors at 21st Tactical Air Force Base in Čáslav.
AERO Vodochody became also the general partner of the latter show that will take place at the Čáslav AFB on May 20, 2017.
“Presentation of our company in the Czech Republic should correspond with its status of the biggest Czech aerospace and arms manufacturer. We believe that our partnership with these two important events will contribute to the success of our renewed focus on military programme and production of complete aircraft,” stated Giuseppe Giordo, president of the AERO Vodochody AEROSPACE Company.

We take it as our commitment and we hope that we will continue in our successful cooperation from previous years and that we will further develop it at the new level. It was very important for us and our cooperation definitely does not end by this.”
“We plan to connect NATO Days in Ostrava with our regular L-39 Users’ Group and together with Jagello 2000 contribute to the expert level of the event. Fans of the show can of course look forward to presentation of our new and promising L-39NG aircraft. Its demonstrator was presented in the world’s premiere here in 2015, and already in 2014 we introduced its concept,” pointed Giuseppe Giordo.
L-39NG is a modern and highly efficient trainer and light attack aircraft, able to serve as basic, advanced and LIFT trainer thanks to advanced avionics. L-39NG is based on aero dynamical concept of current L-39, but is manufactured with the use of new technologies and contents modern systems. The modern FJ44-4M engine is provided with TAP Blue maintenance system that secures unprecedented airworthiness and prediction of the maintenance costs. Aircraft avionics is ready for preparation of future pilots of the aircraft of fourth and fifth generation and can be tailored according to customers’ needs. The aircraft is also equipped with five weapons pods. Wide spectrum of simulation technologies together with involvement in tactical simulation centre for improving training efficiency is supplied with the aircraft.
