Slovakia accepted the role of the Special Partner Nation at this year's NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days. It thus represents the fourth country in the row with this status.

Visitors may thanks to this concept, which was first introduced in 2014, look forward to an enlarged presentation of Slovak armed and security forces. “With Slovakia, we share not only a common history, but also tight security relations which are reflected in every year's participation of Slovak units in our show. It is an honour for us that it is Slovakia this year which will take the role of the Special Partner Nation and present the visitors apart from the air force also ground forces and civil security forces,” comments Zbyněk Pavlačík, the chairman of Jagello 2000.

Slovakia has already confirmed participation of the MiG-29 fighter jet in a dynamic display as well as a static display of the Mi-17 multirole helicopter. ”More details about other equipment and units will be provided at a press conference on September 1, 2017. Nevertheless, we can already say that as well as the Special Partner Nations of the previous years, Slovakia plans a lot of spectacular and premiere displays,” concludes Pavlačík.
