Typhoons flypast will close this year’s programme

17.09.2016, 22:19

The second day of record-breaking NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days promises more favourable weather than visitors of the show experienced on Saturday. Moreover, a unique flypast of at least three Eurofighter Typhoons is a lure for a visit of the Leos Janacek Ostrava Airport venue.

Some 45,000 people came to see the first day of this biggest security show in Europe. They were not drawn back by occasional rain and could enjoy programme both in the air and on the ground. Sunday forecast promises almost perfect weather for the show.

Closing flypast of Eurofighter Typhoons will highlight the Sunday programme. The Italian, Austrian and Spanish team confirmed participation, while the British one still awaits permission. “The flypast of just three of these aircraft will be a historical moment as it was never seen on any airshow,” comments Zbyněk Pavlačík, Jagello 2000 CEO. “Germany already denied participation, so it is unfortunately sure that there will not be all five Typhoons together.”

The Italian aerobatic group Frecce Tricolori will offer another extraordinary view, they got a great acclamation for their Saturday’s performance and their time will come right after noon. But also other airplanes – Czech JAS-39 Gripen, French Rafale or Swiss F/A-18 Hornet – cheered the crowd.

On the ground, Jordanian Armed Force’s female commando, Czech Prison Service, Czech, German and Slovak Customs Services, or riot units will be also prepared to show their skills. We believe that you will fully enjoy the second day of this year’s NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days.
