NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days

This year we are celebrating 20 years of independent Czech Republic and its security forces, law enforcement and public safety agencies, many of which are regular participants of NATO Days in Ostrava. An agreement has been reached with co-organizers, participants and partners of NATO Days in Ostrava to devote this year's NATO Days in Ostrava to commemoration of this anniversary, which is referenced by a special logo of the event.

General Zdeněk Škarvada, one of the last surviving WWII pilots, dies at the age of 95. This former Royal Air Force fighter pilot and a Battle of Britain direct participant, has lived in Ostrava and has been both an esteemed guest and, since 2005, also an active participant of NATO Days in Ostrava where he personally opened a special exhibition presenting his life last year.

Belgian Air Force becomes another confirmed NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days 2013 participant. Dynamic presentation of Agusta A109 helicopter will be complemented by static displays of F-16 MLU fighter plane and Aermacchi SF.260 light training aircraft.

Hungary is yet another country that has already confirmed its participation at NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days 2013. Returning after three years with a dynamic presentation will be Hungarian Air Force JAS-39 Gripen aircraft.

We are bringing more detailed information on the previously announced participation of Austria at the NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days 2013. We are looking forward to see yet another great dynamic and two new exciting static presentations.

In 2012, PlanesTV have filmed at many airshows in Great Britain and elsewhere, including at the Russian Air Force centenary and at NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days. It has already become an annual tradition that NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days organizers present the event to the foreign defence and air attachés. This presentation is one of the many important activities that facilitate participation from abroad. 

NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days will again feature highly attractive MiG-29 Fulcrum aircraft demonstration of the Slovak Air Force. Although so called dogfight will not be on schedule, visitors could enjoy static and dynamic presentations while other aircrafts can be added as bonus as well.

NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days will again feature a French Air Force aircraft, this year a Mirage 2000-5F that builds on the previous 2000D and N versions and is thus the most advanced variant of this successful French fighter.
