OMNIPOL, a company with more than 85 years of tradition as the main partner

16.09.2020, 20:00

OMNIPOL, an investment and trading group with more than eighty-five years of experience in the domestic and international markets, is once again the main partner of the NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days this year.

OMNIPOL, which provides top solutions for the defense and security sector, is the owner of two subsidiaries, ERA and MESIT. The OMNIPOL group now also includes AERO Vodochody, a leading Czech traditional company operating in the aviation industry. The companies belonging to the OMNIPOL group have advanced technologies that focus mainly on passive systems for tracking air, land and sea targets, military communications, aircraft instruments and precision engineering production, including their own foundry and galvanic processes. They also deal with related software products, but also, for example, cyber security, for both the military and civilian sectors. The entire OMNIPOL Group employs more than 2,800 professionals, of which over 400 employees participate in research and development of new products.

Project L-39NG
One of OMNIPOL's key projects is in cooperation with AERO Vodochody Aerospace a.s., namely the L-39CW and L-39NG aircraft projects.

The original L-39 or Albatros has been an inseparable part of OMNIPOL for over 30 years, as in the past it was responsible for exporting almost 3,000 of these aircraft abroad. The company provided not only their export, but also a complete background for the customer. A great motivation for investing in the project is the constant interest of clients. It is estimated that more than 700 aircraft are still in active to this day.

The L-39NG was created precisely on the basis of the requirements of clients who still need to supply spare parts to the legendary Albatros. Like any product, this material is also undergoing a certain development and the existing components produced by the original technology are already obsolete, in many cases even unavailable. Today, it is manufactured with a new, modern technology that meets current requirements and trends. In the beginning, the idea was that the L-39NG would be the original Albatros from the outside, but a completely new machine inside.

Over time, however, the designers gave the aircraft a new external shape, which reflects the developmental design changes. This is how the aircraft gradually began to be built on proven, traditional foundations, but adapted to the needs of the "new generation", the L-39NG.
