Support the Czech troops through Military Solidarity Fund at NATO Days

As in previous years, visitors to NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days will be able to help soldiers and their families in need through the Military Solidarity Fund. There will be four points in the area of the Mošnov airport, where people can contribute any amount of money.

For four years, the Military Solidarity Fund offers help to soldiers and their family members who have found themselves in a difficult life situation. The financial contributions are allocated, for example, to improve the quality of life of those children whose military parent has fallen or been wounded and suffered physical disabilities. The main purpose of the Fund is to ease the negative social impacts of these difficult times through financial support as these soldiers and their families had not caused them. Jagello 2000 is one of the long-term partners of the Military Solidarity Fund. Thanks to its support, last autumn it was possible to collect a record 906,658 CZK for the collection of the Ministry of Defense on the Day of War Veterans.

In 2018, the Fund provided financial assistance of 10,497,609 CZK, which was distributed among the surviving families of soldiers killed in Afghanistan and children who tragically lost their fathers on duty. This money has also helped six soldiers and their families to cope with the most difficult time after personal tragedies or to provide medical equipment for a seriously ill child or a nurse's service for three children of preschool age. "Our deepest thanks and respect go to the thousands of donors who have supported the Military Solidarity Fund, and have fulfilled the meaning of our fund's motto: 'Thanks to you, we can help', which we adopted last year," says Brigadier General Šmerdová solidarity.

Another way to support the efforts of the Military Solidarity Fund is to send a donor SMS in the form: DMS VFS 30 or DMS VFS 60 or DMS VFS 90 to 87777 (depending on the amount that everyone wants to spend). Those who would prefer to use bank transfer can send the financial contribution to the account number: 44665522/0800, variable symbol: 918. The amount of donations is not important - each contribution helps.
