Hellenic Zeus to complete hat trick in Ostrava

Confirmations of attractive dynamic displays for NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days 2016 keep pouring in! The Hellenic Air Force F-16 Demo Team “Zeus” is returning to the Mošnov airport to join us in celebrations of the show’s 15^th anniversary this year.

The “Zeus” Demo Team has presented in Ostrava in two last years. In its third appearance in a row, the Zeus will be joining the already announced F-16 Demo Team of the Belgian Air Force.

“NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days was the only event outside of Greece where the “Zeus” participated both in 2014 and 2015. The Team’s repeated participation this year is unique, again. It was such a great surprise to learn about their plans to support our show,” admits Zbyněk Pavlačík, chairman of Jagello 2000. “In 2014, we had as many as three F-16 demo teams – the Greek, the Dutch and the Danish ones. This year, the “Zeus” will try to win visitors’ hearts in a ‘match’ with the Belgian opponent. You can recall its 2015 great performance in the PlanesTV video.”

F-16 Demo Team “Zeus” is a part of the 115^th Fighter Squadron operating at Crete equipped with the F-16C Block 52+ aircraft. In addition to its attractive livery, the display plane sports two conformal fuel tanks mounted along its spine on the upper fuselage.

 “When the Royal Netherlands Air Force F-16 Demo Team visited Ostrava for the first time in 2008, nobody though it would keep coming every year till 2014. We would not mind at all if the Zeus mirrored this series,” concludes Pavlačík with a grin.
