Ostrava Municipal Police will present both hippology and cynology units in dynamic displays

Ostrava Municipal Police represents an integral part of the weekend programme of NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days and has prepared for visitors not only dynamic displays with its service animals, but also showcast of its prevention activities. 

Ostrava Municipal Police will once again participate in NATO Days and has prepared a diverse programme for visitors. The hippology unit will traditionally take part in a dynamic display where its riders will show techniques of the service horse training or tackling various obstacles. The second favourite dynamic display will include presentation of skills of service dogs where cynologists will show an arrest of an offender in situations that police officers confront every day, or demonstrate the difficulty of training, and precise interplay of handler with their dog.

Presentation of prevention activities of Ostrava Municipal Police will not be lacking either. The prevention and promotion section will introduce to visitors both its weaponry and equipment, including technical means, which the Ostrava Municipal Police possesses. A laser shooting range will also be available to provide the possibility of trying safe handling of weapons as well as visitors' shooting skills. For kids, there will be prepared attractive games, competitions and quizzes.

Ostrava Municipal Police will also take part in NATO Days logistical services as it will handle bicycle storages. There will once again be three of these storages where police officers will be able to secure more than 10,000 bikes. Moreover, during the whole event, police patrols will ensure public order at the international cycling route no.5 which leads directly to Mošnov airport.
