Prison Service will avert a rescue attempt

This year’s NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days are also going to be variegated by static and dynamic display of the Czech Prison Service. The visitors will have an opportunity to see the task force while protecting convoy under attack or the exhibition of forbidden items confiscated from the prisoners.

During simulation of the attack on the convoy with prisoner, the task force will thwart the effort of the offenders and capture them. “The prison service used service dogs in this simulation for the first time in the previous NATO Days,” stressed Zbyněk Pavlačík, the chairman of Jagello 2000, which is the main organizer of the event. “Service dogs, which are trained for stopping particularly dangerous persons, will be introduced to the visitors this year as well.”

In its static display, the Prison Service will offer a unique opportunity to see improvised jail, as well as coercive means used by penitentiary service or mannequins dressed into uniforms and prisoner’s clothes. Among other exhibited objects the visitors can explore various ranges of forbidden items which have been discovered by prisons’ staff as tattoo supplies, drugs, weapons or hiding place of mobile phones.    

The Prison Service’s tent will also introduce the development and objectives of the Czech penitentiary service. Moreover the visitors can enrich their knowledge by the presentation of labour facility which employs prisoners and offers its products from the area of furniture, metal working and provides services in the area of laundry and printing. Therefore the products of the prisoners will be exhibited as well. Another part of the static display will include escort vehicles and buses.
