The Castle Guard will once again perform a popular display with sophisticated choreography

A traditional participant of the NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days are members of the Castle Guard, whose dynamic display performed by a motorcycle unit is very popular among visitors and will not be missing at this year's edition either.

We can look forward to a display showing the escort of a column of the highest state or foreign representatives, which is complemented by a beautiful choreography of the blue shining unit. BMW R-1200 RT-P and BMW R-1150 RT / GS motorcycles will ride at the Mošnov airport, accompanied by Land Rover and Škoda Superb cars. These will also be on a static display, where, in addition, historic motorcycle models will be presented. Visitors may also be interested in seeing the Castle Guard's armament and equipment, including cold and firearms and uniforms.

"Although the participation of the motorcycle unit of the Castle Guard is already such a traditional feature of the NATO Days, it does not decrease its prestige, which is proved by the annual interest of visitors in its display," said Zbyněk Pavlačík, Chairman of Jagello 2000. "For many people, the activities of the Castle Guard may be shrouded in the veil of the unknown, so we very much appreciate that they offer visitors the opportunity to talk to them and learn a lot of new and interesting information about this unit of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic."

The Castle Guard is officially one of the components of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that it falls directly under the Military Office of the President of the Republic and is therefore not part of the Army of the Czech Republic. Interestingly, there are requirements for a certain height or emphasis on the absence of a beard for guard units. If you are thinking of joining the Castle Guard, you must meet the general requirements for admission to the armed forces.
