Anti-Aircraft Regiment Will Protect Mechanized Brigade during Dynamic Display

This year’s visitors of NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days may look forward to the joint dynamic display of the Czech army. The 25^th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment from Strakonice will present the equipment, which serves to protect the Czech air space.

The anti-aircraft missile complex S-10M will be part of the joint unit display. The task is to protect the 7^th Mechanized Brigade against the air attack.

Visitors interested in the 25^th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment activities, may come to the static displays area, where the unit will have a presentation tent. Besides already mentioned complex S-10M, people can also see the anti-aircraft missile complex RBS-70, light armoured vehicle Dingo or Tatra 810 PVO truck. The soldiers will also present surveillance radar sensor ReVISOR and equipment of the air observer.

The 25^th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment was established in 2000 as a part of re-organizational and re-dislocation changes within the brigadier command system. Its prime task is to protect the air space in the Czech Republic above the objects of national importance (ie. nuclear power stations, air bases, industrial areas and transportation hubs).
