Soloturk withdraw its participation, NATO Days still offers rich programme

This year’s NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days are literally stuffed by dynamic displays, what on the other hand increase the possibility of calling-off the participations. The unpleasant news arrived from Turkey and its F-16 Demo Team Soloturk. Notwithstanding, the visitors still may look forward to the record programme.

Even though the Soloturk team will not participate at NATO Days, the visitors can still enjoy the dynamic display of the U.S.-made F-16 fighter in a premiere of Belgian Demo Team. However, the Belgian team Red Devils with its four turboprop aircraft SF-260 will not come either to perform their show.

“The aircraft displayed at NATO Days are mostly in active military service and can be called-off anytime due to the operational reasons, therefore we must count with the possible withdrawals and be flexible as much as possible,” explains Zbyněk Pavlačík from Jagello 2000. “We deeply apologize all fans, who had look forward to see these aircraft and we still hope that the rich NATO Days’ programme will catch them anyway.”

We have already mentioned in the Guest Book that the participation of the Slovakian air fighter MiG-29 is unsure and we have indeed received the official confirmation about calling-off this fighter from NATO Days due to the operational reasons.

„The withdrawal of the three units have never probably happened in the whole history of this show. Understandably it is a huge intervention into the programme. On the other hand, without any disparagement, we firmly believe that the displays of the Italian Freece Tricolori, Swiss Patrouille Suisse or four Typhoons and other premieres will compensate this loss,“ concludes Zbyněk Pavlačík.
