CSG Group and Tatra Trucks to appear at NATO Days as Special Partners
NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days represent a major annual opportunity for the public to learn about the latest developments within the armed forces of the Czech Republic and NATO, as well as the newest technologies and products of the Czech defense industry. Once again the traditional special partners – Czechoslovak Group (CSG) and the Kopřivnice-based carmaker Tatra Trucks – will not be missing. Within the CSG exhibition, companies such as Tatra Defence, Excalibur Army, Retia, Eldis, and MSM Group will be featured.
Last year, due to severe floods in northern Moravia, NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days unfortunately could not take place. As a long-standing partner, CSG recognized that the cancellation caused considerable economic damage both to tourism in the Moravian-Silesian Region and, in particular, to the organizer Jagello 2000, with whom it has been cooperating since 2011. CSG therefore decided to provide full financial support to the organizer, helping them to bridge the difficult period and ensure that this unique pan-European security showcase, as well as many other projects carried out by Jagello 2000, would not be endangered in the future. Thanks to this support, NATO Days can once again be held this year.
At this year’s NATO Days, Tatra Defence (TD) will present during dynamic demonstrations the new Pandur 8x8 EVO wheeled infantry fighting vehicle, which is certain to be one of the highlights of the ground program. The Pandur 8x8 EVO builds on the proven Pandur II 8x8 platform, already in service with the Czech Army, and has been designed with future requirements of both Czech and foreign armed forces in mind. Its development took place at Tatra Defence in Kopřivnice, in cooperation with experts from General Dynamics European Land Systems. Production and system integration will be carried out entirely in the Czech Republic at the Tatra Defence Vehicle plant in Kopřivnice, including the weapon station and certain electronic systems.
Another exhibit from Tatra Defence will be the brand-new TADEAS 6x6 MEV, a special medical evacuation vehicle on a Tatra chassis. This new Czech-designed vehicle will be presented to the domestic audience for the first time at NATO Days, following its world premiere earlier in September at the MSPO 2025 fair in Kielce, Poland. The TADEAS vehicle is primarily intended for integration of electronic systems and use as command vehicles, engineering equipment, communications platforms, armored ambulances, as well as special vehicles for rescue services, firefighters, police, and other security forces.
At the Mošnov airport, Tatra Trucks will showcase its full portfolio of vehicles. Visitors will see various versions of the Tatra Force model range, second and third generation, which are widely used by the Czech Army and other armed forces across Europe and worldwide. The Force range serves as logistic vehicles, carriers of weapon systems, and platforms for electronic, command, and special applications, while also playing an irreplaceable role with rescue services and firefighters. The Tatra exhibition will also include vehicles from the Phoenix range, the main production pillar for civilian users. For Tatra fans, souvenir stands will be available, and those interested in working at the oldest Czech carmaker can speak directly with Tatra’s recruitment specialists on site.
Another exhibit on a Tatra chassis at the CSG display will be the RM-70 Vampire multiple rocket launcher, developed by the Šternberk-based company Excalibur Army. The launcher is designed to provide fire support for ground units and is equipped with a modern weapon control and guidance system as well as a fire control system with a ballistic computer. The crew is provided with inertial navigation and GPS systems, communication and data-link capabilities, and the option to control the entire weapon system either from inside the cabin or remotely via a portable console. The system uses proven 122 mm rockets widely deployed by many armies, including new, more powerful variants with an extended range of up to 40 km.
Another exhibitor at the joint CSG Defence stand will be MSM Group, which brings together several producers of modern medium- and large-caliber ammunition. Slovak company ZVS, a traditional enterprise specializing in artillery ammunition for decades, will present 155 mm NATO-standard shells. Another Slovak firm, VOP Nováky, will display 155 mm training ammunition and mortar rounds in calibers 60 mm, 81 mm, and 120 mm. The Spanish company Fábrica de Municiones Granada, also part of MSM Group, will showcase 105 mm artillery ammunition and 120 mm and 105 mm tank ammunition, standard for modern NATO artillery and tanks. A novelty will be 120 mm training tank ammunition developed in cooperation with VOP Nováky. Recently, ZVI Vsetín has also joined MSM Group and will present new 30x173 mm medium-caliber ammunition for infantry fighting vehicles and remote weapon stations.
Retia will exhibit the ReCUBE GBAD mobile container command and control platform for ground-based air defense, which provides fully integrated real-time control of all system sensors and effectors. The special container will be mounted on Tatra vehicles with hook loaders from partner company Karbox. Thanks to the use of state-of-the-art computing and communication technologies, the ReCUBE GBAD system enables rapid deployment in the field and maintains full operational capacity even in demanding conditions. Data connection is provided via high-speed optical fibers and secure radio communication, ensuring continuous, secure, and resilient connectivity throughout the GBAD architecture. With its ability to automatically classify threats, it can also recommend the most effective weapon system for their elimination.
Eldis Pardubice, part of the CSG Aerospace division, will present its latest new-generation products for comprehensive airport radar systems. Specifically, two of its newest radar systems – the RL-3000 and PAR-NG. The RL-3000 long-range 3D radar operates on a software-defined architecture and provides three-dimensional tracking of non-cooperative airborne targets. The PAR-NG represents an entirely new generation of precision approach radar, designed for both civilian and military airfields.
