Escort Protection and New Projects to be presented by the Czech Prison Service
The Czech Prison Service will once again have the presentation at the NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days. The attractive dynamic display will be supported by the interesting static exhibition.
Dynamic displays, which are performed by the Prison Service’s members are always highly appreciated. This year will not be any exception. “We are ready to show off our display with kidnapping of the protected person’s escort with the special security measures alongside with the cooperation of the Czech Police helicopter,” highlights Petr Dohnal, CEO of the Czech Prison Service. In other words, there will be an escort and preparedness of the prisoner for the air transport, while the escort will be attacked. The ground team will avert the attack and eliminate the enemies. “Therefore, the visitors will see our members in ballistic suits and also the armoured vehicle which is being used during these types of escorts,” Dohnal says.
The Prison Service will also present its static exposition, which offers the opportunity to see the two prison cells, the standard one and renovated one with the equipment. Further, the coercive means used by the guards as well as the uniforms and prisoners’ clothes. The forbidden objects held by the prisoners (stashes for mobile phones, tattoo means, drugs, weapons) will be presented among other exhibit things. The static display will also include significant history milestones of the Czech Prison Service or the presentation of labour facility which employs the prisoners and offers its products from the area of furniture, metal working and provides services in the area of laundry and printing. Therefore the visitors will have a unique opportunity to go through the prisoners’ products.
Moreover, the Prison Service will also present the projects of imprisoned people. One of the projects is a beekeeping. “Penitentiary and beekeeping are ostensibly two different things. However, we have proved that these two things can be combined and we will present at least a part of our results during NATO Days. The glass school beehive will be for sure an interesting object for the incoming visitors,” Dohnal adds. The static exposition will also include two escort vehicles VW LT 46 and VW Crafter, two escort buses, two emergency cars, armoured vehicle and the escort vehicle.
