08.09.2018, 11:43

This year's programme of NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days will provide visitors with quadruple dynamic display of jet aircraft manufactured by Saab. From the oldest to the most modern one, aircraft of the Swedish Air Force Historic Flight and JAS-39 fighter jet of the Czech Air Force will show off above Mošnov Airport.

The oldest of all, J32 Lansen, which is also the first transonic aircraft of the Swedish origin, will be the first one to perform its dynamic display. It will be followed by the supersonic SK 35 Draken which is typical for its double delta-wing. Its direct successor, AJS37 Viggen that had served in the Swedish Air Force until 2006, will come as the third display. The latest generation will then be represented by JAS-39 Gripen from the Czech Air Force which capabilities will be showed by awarded display pilot, capt. Ivo Kardoš.

“Presentation of four generations manufactured by Saab which represents a long-term partner of our event, demonstrates what technological advancement this Swedish manufacturer has undergone in the last more than sixty years,” emphasizes Zbyněk Pavlačík, chairman of Jagello 2000, and adds: “We are thus grateful that we have been able to provide an unbroken bloc of dynamic displays in the weekend programme for these Swedish aircraft.”
