The Czech Police will intervene against the attacker
The Police of the Czech Republic is one of the most necessary components for the organization of the whole event during the 20th NATO Days in Ostrava & the 11th Czech Air Force Days. In addition to ensuring safety inside and outside the complex, it will also participate in the program with an attractive demonstration of the intervention unit's capabilities.
The police are the second most important co-organizer of the whole event after the Czech army. Spectators can look forward to the intervention of an elite unit from the Regional Police Directorate of the Moravian-Silesian Region against an attacker threatening the crowd, during the intervention, the Police will also use a helicopter, an attack platform or specially modified vehicles.

The intervention groups of the Police of the Czech Republic are specialized units, which are primarily trained for interventions against dangerous or armed criminals. To do this, they are equipped with special equipment such as armored vehicles, they can also use helicopters or an attack platform, thanks to which they are able to intervene quickly even in less accessible places. In the armament and equipment of their members, in addition to the standard CZ 75D Compact pistol, we can find sniper rifles, Heckler & Koch 416 or G36C assault rifles, or Heckler & Koch MP5 submachine guns in various versions. They are protected by ballistic helmets and ballistic plate carriers, which can provide protection for the shoulders or groin.
