The Ostrava Municipal Police will be in action again

This year, the Ostrava Municipal Police will become an integral part of the NATO Days in Ostrava & the Czech Air Force Days.

You can look forward not only to a joint dynamic demonstration of police officers from the sections of hippology, cynology and operative police officers, to demonstrations of service dog training, but also to presentation tents in which the public will be able to get acquainted with the work of the Ostrava Municipal Police. The technology, equipment and armament that the police officers use in the normal course of their duties will be on display.

The police officers of the prevention section will introduce the work of the police officer especially to the children's visitors of the event and will also present the prevention projects of the Ostrava Municipal Police.

If you want to experience a little excitement, you can try safe handling of weapons and your shooting skills in a laser shooting range. Children will be able to colour pictures with a police theme and a number of games, competitions and quizzes are also prepared for them.

The dynamic demonstration will focus on the crackdown on an enraged mob that grossly disrupts public order and disregards the police officers.

From the annotated demonstration, visitors will be able to learn, among other things, how the Ostrava Municipal Police uses horses in the performance of their duties and why the horse is an indispensable and effective helper in ensuring public order.

Ostrava cynologists will then present the skills and work of service dogs with. As part of the spectator's very popular demonstrations, the police officer and his/her dog will demonstrate the apprehension of the perpetrator in various situations that they may encounter while on duty. A demonstration of dog obedience and its perfect cooperation with the handler will also be interesting.

For cyclists, there will be three bicycle sheds with a total capacity of more than 10,000 bicycles available in the area throughout the event. The operation of the bicycle sheds will also be provided by Ostrava police officers.
