14.09.2022, 15:00

MESIT holding (a company of the OMNIPOL group) is one of the main partners of the NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days. Products with the MESIT brand are sophisticated electronic systems that form an important part of the internal equipment of aircraft or combat vehicles even though they are not often visible at first glance.

Development and production of our own aircraft instruments has been a fundamental pillar of the MESIT group companies since its foundation. The company MESIT asd, s.r.o., participates in a significant part of aviation programs in the territory of the Czech Republic and is a long-standing supplier of instruments for important domestic aviation finalists, such as Aircraft Industries, a.s. and Aero Vodochody AEROSPACE a.s.. That's why MESIT asd also got involved in the modernization of the two latest L-39NG and L 410 NG aircraft which will be presented at this year's NATO Days.

The commercial assortment for the original L 410/420 aircraft represented approximately 130 items on offer, both on-board and engine instruments. Together with other Czech companies MESIT asd participated in the MOSTA project for the comprehensive modernization of the L 410 aircraft in order to increase the efficiency and economy of operation. It developed and currently supplies several avionics systems for the L 410 NG: fuel metering system, airframe de-icing control electronics, windshield heating system, cabin heating control and power supply control system for heating of static and total pressure probes.

Also, cooperation with Aero Vodochody AEROSPACE a.s. has a long history. MESIT supplied instrumentation for the successful L-29, L-39, L-59 and L-159 aircraft. You will also find components of this brand on the latest L-39NG aircraft. These include, for example, the intercom, the HOTAS control stick, the launching device for launching the on-board armament, the landing gear controls or the current sensors.

Currently, the LUN 8426 on-board phone or intercom was put into series production this year. The LUN 8426 on-board phone is custom-made not only for the L-39NG aircraft, but also for possible use within the repair and modernization program of existing L-39s. The system consists of two on-board telephone units integrated with the control panel each in one cabin. It interconnects crew audio, ground crew, on-board radio stations and radio navigation systems. It is a universally applicable system equipped with robust controls suitable for gloved operation, i.e. for crews using prescribed military pilot gear of both "Western" and "Eastern" type.

The companies of the MESIT group celebrated their 70th anniversary this year and continue the tradition of developing and manufacturing aviation instruments. The company MESIT asd, s.r.o. offers experience not only in the development of aircraft systems tested in its own development laboratories, but especially knowledge of software certification according to RTCA/DO-178. He has also been active in the field of defence technology for a long time. For combat military vehicles it supplies a tactical communication system in a wide range of components – radio stations, intercoms, headsets and also the latest extercom (PA System) for addressing the surroundings. The company MESIT machinery, a.s., offers comprehensive engineering services – precision castings including CNC machining and surface treatments for several industries, including the aerospace and defence industries.
