Danish Baby Blue Display Team will arrive for its premiere

15.06.2023, 10:21

After a five-year break, Denmark returns to the NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days in style. Visitors can look forward to the premiere of Denmark‘s only acrobatic group, the Baby Blue Display Team.

Denmark has prepared a double premiere for its fourth participation in the NATO Days - both the Baby Blue Display Team and the T-17 Supporter aircraft from Saab will be presented at the Mošnov airport for the first time. It will also be the second aerobatic group to perform at this year's NATO Days.

Change: Dynamic display of aerobatic group Baby Blue Display Team was cancelled (30th August 2023).

"Denmark has presented its helicopters or multi-purpose aircraft at previous editions of the event, so we are very pleased that they have decided to expand the range of equipment of their air force, which visitors to our event can get to know," says Zbyněk Pavlačík, Chairman of Jagello 2000.

The Baby Blue Display Team is made up of instructors from the Danish Air Force flight school at Karup Air Base, who use the T-17 Supporter to train future pilots. The turboprop aircraft  first flew in 1972, but it is still one of the most widely used trainer aircraft for military training. It has also proved its worth in armed variants during counter-insurgency operations, for example in the Biafra civil war. It is currently in the arsenal of the air forces of Denmark, Norway and Pakistan.
