A quarter of the NATO Days are already occupied, don't buy last-minute tickets

31.08.2021, 14:05

On the fourth day after starting the distribution of tickets for this year's NATO Days in Ostrava & the Air Force Days, 20,000 tickets are already obtained by visitors, i.e., 25% of the total capacity permitted according to Covid-19 measures. From next week, it will also be possible to pair tickets with vaccination certificates to facilitate the check-in at the entrances to the event.

Such a speed of ticket distribution surprised the organizers of this largest security show in Europe very positively. "The introduction of tickets for the 21st year of the event is a big change for everyone. Therefore, we are glad that our fans and long-term visitors understand the necessity of this step and that they do not leave the obtaining of tickets to the last minute," appreciates Zbyněk Pavlačík, chairman of Jagello 2000, the main organizer of the show. "The entire distribution takes place only online through Ticketportal, and I must emphasize that there will be no possibility to purchase tickets at the entrances. A Covid-19 test site will not be set up in the area either because the ticket will have to be paired with a certificate of non-infection in advance."

The NATO Days in Ostrava are part of the National Agency for Communication and Information Technologies (NAKIT) pilot project, which is preparing this pairing of tickets and verification of non-infectivity with Ticketportal. Validation will allow the visitor to prove himself with only one document when entering the event, significantly speeding up his check-in.

Ticket holders who have a certificate of vaccination or covid-19 will be able to validate them from 6 September. It will be possible to verify in advance the validity of the test certificate, which will be valid on the day of the event visit - PCR test up to 7 days in advance and antigen test up to 72 hours.

"When purchasing a ticket, it is necessary to choose the method of proving non-infectivity, and when it is possible to perform validation, people will be notified by e-mail," says Pavlačík. "We are doing everything we can to make the NATO Days as accessible as possible, but our priority is to comply with all security and hygiene measures. We want to thank all the visitors for their compliance. I would also like to encourage them to acquire tickets and validate certificates as soon as possible - speeding up check-in at the entrance to the event area and enabling them to enjoy exclusive static and dynamic demonstrations of this year's NATO Days sooner."
