Customs Administration To Detain Smugglers And Show Dogs Training
Customs Administration of the Czech Republic belongs among very popular participants at NATO Days & Czech Air Force Days. This year makes no difference. Viewers’ attention will be ensured by three dynamic shows and one static presentation in which it will introduce its activities and equipment.
Concrete surface of the dynamic displays area will be occupied by Customs Administration twice in both days of the Weekend Show. Customs Administration will, together with their foreign colleagues, presents a demonstration of a joint intervention of members of Czech Operative Squad and Slovak Interventions Unit, in which they will strike against cigarette smugglers on the Czech-Slovak Borders. Second presentation will be a joint work of Czech and German customs officers in revealing of an illegal drug and bill smuggling on the Czech-German borders. During this demonstration, spectators can observe work of handlers and using of special techniques.
Demonstration of a work of police dogs will be also at the minor area of dynamic presentations. Viewers will be introduced with the procedures in a Training Centre of the World Customs Organization in Heřmanovice. In this centre, dogs learn how to search for drugs, tobacco, paper money, arms and ammunition or specimens of endangered species of fauna and flora.
Customs Administration will, in its wide static exposition, introduce also results of its works e.g. seized cigarettes and alcohol as well as equipment secured while combating illegal activities. They will also give an opportunity to see laboratory testing of different products and how difficult it is to discover objects ingeniously hidden in vehicles or on the bodies of smugglers.
Visitors can test their skills in distinguishing fake products from their originals. Guests can also observe customs officers in historic uniforms and get an idea of what their job was at the beginning of the last century. All of this can be seen in the exposition of Customs Administration. This will be also compared with contemporary technique and the fleet vehicles of Customs Administrations. Visitors up to 15 years of age can also use the opportunity to compete for a card Junior Customs Officer.
For all of those who will visit the site of Customs Administration is prepared is not only the exhibition of the fleet vehicles and technical equipment of Czech customs officers, but also of their colleagues from Slovakia, Germany and Poland. The customs Administration is also prepared to provide advisory and consultative services to the visitors throughout the whole duration of NATO Days.
