Lockheed Martin will be the new general partner for the next three years

13.02.2023, 10:53

NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days will have global security and aerospace company Lockheed Martin as the general partner of the event in 2023-2025.

The company has been the main partner NATO Days in previous years, and we could see many aircraft from its production or from its subsidiaries at the show. Last year's flypast showed us the 5th generation F-35 Lightning II aircraft, which the Czech Army is planning to acquire. Furthermore, the C-5M Super Galaxy of the US Air Force, the F-16 of the Belgian Air Force, the P-3C Orion of the German Navy or the UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter of the Slovak Air Force  were presented, and many more in previous editions.

"Lockheed Martin is a renowned company whose aircraft are owned by air forces all over the world, which only confirms their quality. For NATO Days, this cooperation is an opportunity to expand the company's aircraft displays and I believe it will also lead to the development of the event. At the same time, in view of the planned purchase of F-35 aircraft by the Czech Army, we see this cooperation as an opportunity to deepen Lockheed Martin's partnership with the Czech Republic," says Zbyněk Pavlačík, Chairman of Jagello 2000, the main organiser of the event.

“We are honored to be the general partner of NATO Days for the next three years. For more than a century, the men and women of Lockheed Martin have delivered tailored solutions for the world’s most challenging national security missions for our NATO partners and allies around the globe,” said Randy Howard, Lockheed Martin vice president, Global Business Development Pursuits. “We look forward to continuing this tradition through our 21st Century Security vision of ensuring those we serve always stay ahead of ready, with speed, agility and decision advantage over any adversary.”

Lockheed Martin is an American aerospace, arms, defence, and technology company. It is also the largest defence contractor in the world, with the company being first in the US federal government's contractor rankings. Lockheed Martin is involved in the space sector, where it is, for example, working with NASA to develop and implement technology for the USAF's new space tracking system, and is also a prime supplier for the development of the Orion command module. The company invests in healthcare systems, renewable energy systems, or nuclear fusion as well.

"We would also like to thank Saab, which has been the general partner of the three previous editions, for the opportunity to establish such an exclusive cooperation, which led, for example, to the first dynamic presentation of the Gripen E in Central Europe and many other prestigious displays,” adds Pavlačík.
