Test ŠKODA AUTO cars at the terrain polygon

ŠKODA AUTO a.s., the exclusive partner of NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days for the fifth time in row, once again prepared a number of attractions for visitors of this year’s event, including a presentation of its fastest OCTAVIA RS245 car and the FABIA R5 racing special. Visitors will also have the opportunity to test-drive ŠKODA cars on a terrain polygon. 

“We’re really grateful for the support of ŠKODA, as I myself am a satisfied customer driving a ŠKODA SUPERB COMBI, which is why I am glad that we can associate the biggest security show in Europe with ŠKODA AUTO. The organisational team also uses 17 entirely-new ŠKODA RAPID cars and a fleet of ŠKODA SUPERB cars will be used for the transportation of official guests,” says Zbyněk Pavlačík, the chairman of Jagello 2000.“ Visitors will have the chance to experience terrain abilities of the KODIAQ and OCTAVIA SCOUT models at the ŠKODA 4x4 Off-Road polygon. Visitors interested in technology, as well as all others, will have the opportunity to visit an exposition prepared in cooperation with the Traffic safety research section of ŠKODA AUTO. There the visitors will have the opportunity to see cross sections of cars, dominated by the KODIAQ, which will realistically depict both the active and passive elements of car safety, as well as used technical solutions,” adds Pavlačík.

The exclusive partnership is underlined by the exclusive presentation at the event venue. A mobile ŠKODA showroom will present every model of the manufacture programme of the traditional Czech car manufacturer, including the specially-modified KODIAQ model utilised by the Medical Rescue Service, as well as the sporty OCTAVIA RS245, which is the fastest Octavia model ever thanks to its two-litre TSI V4-engine with 180 kW (245 hp) and a seven-speed dual-clutch DSG transmission. Furthermore, there will be two fully-mobile rally simulators available, where visitors will be able to experience the feel of a time-trial test-drive, which will be joined by an exhibition of the Fabia R5 racing special.

Visitors of the ŠKODA zone can look forward to the entire model series of this Czech car manufacturer. The zone will delight both adults and children, for whom a number of additional activities and attractions will be prepared.

“In the automotive industry, we view passenger safety as our top priority, but in today’s turbulent time, security in general gains more importance every day. Precision of the armed forces is necessary in order to maintain security and stability. The topic of security is also the main course of this event and we are very pleased that we can be a part of it for the fifth yea in a row. We hope that our presence will be interesting for the visitors,” explained the CEO of ŠKODA AUTO Czech Republic Luboš Vlček.
